Casement Windows

Casement Windows in Southern Mississippi

Casement windows are a popular choice for homeowners in Southern Mississippi, offering a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics.

These windows are hinged on one side and open outward, much like a door.

Types of Casement Windows

Casement windows come in various styles and configurations to suit different architectural needs and personal preferences.

Single Casement

This is the most common type, consisting of a single window that opens outward from one side.

French Casement

These windows feature two sashes that open from the center, providing a wide, unobstructed view when fully open.

Push Out Casement

Instead of using a crank mechanism, these windows are manually pushed open, offering a more traditional look.

Top Hung Casement

Also known as awning windows, these are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom.

Advantages of choosing Casement Windows for your Home

Opting for casement windows in your Southern Mississippi home comes with numerous benefits that can enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of your living space.

Superior Ventilation

Unobstructed Views

Enhanced Security

Superior Ventilation

Casement windows can open fully, allowing for maximum airflow.

This is particularly beneficial in Southern Mississippi’s warm climate, helping to keep your home cool and comfortable.

Unobstructed Views

Unlike double hung or sliding windows, casement windows don’t have a central meeting rail, providing clearer, more expansive views of your surroundings.

Enhanced Security

The hook shaped casement locks are embedded within the frame, making them more secure than other window types.

Energy Efficiency: How Casement Windows can Lower your Bills

In the hot and humid climate of Southern Mississippi, energy efficiency is a top priority for homeowners. Casement windows can play a crucial role in reducing your energy consumption and lowering your utility bills.

Tight Seal

When closed, casement windows press firmly against the frame, creating an airtight seal.

This prevents air leakage, which is a common source of energy loss in many homes.

Low-E Glass

Many modern casement windows come with Low-E glass coatings.

In summer, they reflect the sun’s heat outward, keeping your home cooler.

Double or Triple Glazing

Casement windows often feature double or triple pane glass with insulating gas between the panes.

This significantly reduces heat transfer, improving your home’s overall insulation.

Weatherstripping

High quality casement windows include weatherstripping around the edges, further enhancing their ability to prevent air infiltration.

I have limited experience with contractors, but I can say that the pricing was competitive (though I didn't shop around a *ton*), and communication and customer service has been excellent. We had 14 windows put in and the job was done in a day. There were small issues here and there - a couple of drywall cracks, a window slightly out of line. More importantly, though, the owner was again highly responsive and back out to our house within 48 hours with the installers to fix it to our satisfaction. We are pleased with the result.

Excellent company to do business with. They did everything they said they would in a quick and efficient manner. Installers were great. They got all 15 windows installed in one day and left everything clean. Very impressed with the quality of the windows and the installation of them.

Very good experience. Windows were professionally installed and look great. Cleaned up behind themselves and can't tell they were ever there except for the new windows.
