Basement windows do a lot of quiet work for a Gulf Coast home. They bring natural light into spaces that often feel dim, provide critical ventilation in humid Mississippi conditions, and serve as code-required emergency egress in finished basements. The Window Source of the Gulf Coast installs durable, energy-efficient basement windows for homeowners across Gulfport, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs, custom-built to handle our coastal climate and engineered for long-term performance.
Basement spaces along the Gulf Coast face challenges that most other parts of the home don’t. Persistent humidity, fluctuating ground temperatures, and seasonal storm exposure all demand windows engineered for the conditions. Our basement windows feature multi-pane glass packages and tight-sealing frames that resist moisture intrusion, prevent drafts, and keep your basement comfortable year-round.
Key performance features include:
The result: a brighter, drier, more comfortable basement that holds up to the Gulf Coast climate season after season.
Different basement spaces call for different window styles. Here are the basement window types we install most often for Gulfport, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs homeowners.
Hopper windows hinge at the bottom and tilt inward, providing strong ventilation while keeping rain out. They’re the most popular basement style for tight-sealing performance and ease of cleaning.
Sliding windows operate horizontally along a track. Their compact, space-saving design works well for basement openings where headroom is limited.
Awning windows hinge at the top and open outward, allowing fresh air in even during light rain. They’re a great fit for basements that need ventilation without weather concerns.
Egress windows are larger basement windows that meet building code requirements for emergency exit, essential for finished basement bedrooms or living spaces.
Glass block windows offer privacy and security with limited visibility, popular for basement openings where natural light matters more than ventilation.
We schedule a free in-home visit to evaluate your basement openings, discuss your goals, and answer any questions about styles and performance options.
We help you choose the right basement window types, frame materials, and glass packages for your specific needs and budget.
Each opening is custom-measured so your new windows fit perfectly with no gaps for moisture or air infiltration.
Our experienced team handles removal, installation, flashing, and finishing, with attention to the moisture management details that matter most in basements.
We walk through every window with you to confirm operation, alignment, and seal quality before completing the project.
We install basement windows from manufacturers known for quality construction, dependable warranties, and engineered performance for hot, humid climates.
Family-owned and locally operated, with deep roots in the Gulfport, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs communities
Custom-fit windows measured precisely for each opening
Energy-efficient glass packages tuned for Gulf Coast heat and humidity
Code-compliant egress options for finished basements
Professional installation with proper flashing and waterproofing
Strong warranties that cover both product and installation
The right frame material makes the difference between a basement window that lasts decades and one that fails within years. We focus on materials that handle Gulf Coast humidity and salt-air exposure without compromise.
Vinyl is our most popular frame material for basement windows. It resists moisture, never needs painting, and stands up exceptionally well to the humidity and salt air that defines Gulfport and Biloxi homes. Modern vinyl formulations also resist UV fading and color shift over time.
For larger basement openings or egress applications, reinforced vinyl frames add structural strength without sacrificing the moisture resistance and low-maintenance profile of standard vinyl.
Beyond the frame, our basement windows feature insulated glass units with quality spacer systems that resist condensation, a critical performance factor in humid Mississippi basements.

I have limited experience with contractors, but I can say that the pricing was competitive (though I didn't shop around a *ton*), and communication and customer service has been excellent. We had 14 windows put in and the job was done in a day. There were small issues here and there - a couple of drywall cracks, a window slightly out of line. More importantly, though, the owner was again highly responsive and back out to our house within 48 hours with the installers to fix it to our satisfaction. We are pleased with the result.Posted on Google![]()

Very good experience. Windows were professionally installed and look great. Cleaned up behind themselves and can't tell they were ever there except for the new windows.
